Sadly, it looks like circumstances mean my friend P and I can’t go to Nick Cave tonight after all. Anyone want to buy two tickets for the Brisbane show? I don’t think they’re sold out so I’m prepared to sell the tickets I bought for $75 each for $60 each. Email me at mbahnisch@gmail.com as soon as you can if you’re interested.

I hate circumstances.
I hate circumstances.
I always wonder in these situations, what to do? Do you make another post apologising for your double post and thereby doubling the redundant post count to two. If you just ignored it, the redundant post count would only be one but it seems rude not to acknowldge your breach of netiquette.
Philosophers, tell me what to do.
I think you’ve just reinforced your point that you really hate circumstances, Amanda!
I always wonder the same thing with spelling mistakes and typos (in my case I make a lot of tense-os, I’m not sure why but I think I must start writing a sentence in one style, rewrite it in a different style and forget to modify the verb). I don’t much like reading other people’s “sorry, I *meant* blah, it was a typo!” But on the other hand, I want to show people I can actually proofread my own stuff, if only after the fact.
So, who went and how was it?
A friend of mine went and said it was fabulous.
I went. It rocked! Cat Power is weird, though.
jeez - all Uncle Nick’s concerts here in melb were sold out within 10 minutes. You QLDers have gone all “sitting on couch in track suit pants doing your nails and watching crap TV” since old JOH was handed his last brown paper bag.
I’ve heard Cat Power can get freaky stage fright. She didn’t burst into tears or flee the stage?
I was told she apologised at the end of the set but my friend came in late and wasn’t sure what for. Apparently last time she played in Brisbane it caused a huge stir as she lay on the stage while singing and playing guitar, and supposedly fell asleep at one point. I don’t know if those reports are accurate though.
Love her music but!
“Love her music but!”
Ahh cool. Haven’t heard much of her music, but lots of people seem quite positive about it, so I’m quite looking forward to seeing the Cat creature as an hors d’oeurve to the main event.
Are Nick Cave fans troglodytes?
Her covers record is recommended.
The good oil on Nick Cave fans is that they’re mostly 30 and 40 something (ex)Goths!
and check out Antony and the Johnsons - that’s really music

Yeah, I’ve heard they’re good. Must get speakers for computer.
