Howard Hagiography III: Who needs leaders anyway?

The Lib Dems in the UK have just proved that a political party can do quite well, thank you very much, without a leader! Take that, Howardians!

Elsewhere: Seriously now, Andrew Bartlett took a look at the Lib Dems’ leadership race some time ago.

Perhaps the ALP will also demonstrate this new political axiom?

I’ve done a new post updating the Lib Dem contest a little bit - you can read it here. I think their by-election win a couple of weeks ago surprised even them. The result of the ballot for leader gets announced late Thursday night our time.

Certainly JWH does extremely well electorally without exhibiting any leadership qualities, so I think “leadership” might be going the way of VHS and collective bargaining, the way things are headed…

Quick! How can we fast-track the migration of all Lib.Dem. members to Australia? Hurry up, before some other country grabs them.

People in charge? Fine. Senior spokesmen (male or female)? Fine. But Australia has been wrecked by its corporate and political “Leaders”. Please! No more of them!
