Even the political satirists of the Interweb have been struggling to get too excited about the Victorian election campaign, but this is perhaps the most elaborate exception:
Read on for some more examples of the slim pickings of election-related video:
- The Fake McCoys have a valiant attempt at raising a laugh in a Daily Show style fake news snippet. I wanted to laugh, I really did.
- Some anonymous person adds a couple of subtitles to suggest that any Liberal promises on mental health funding should be viewed in the context of Kennett cuts
- And the Liberals have put up a bunch of campaign videos and TV ads. I recommend watching the Liberal plan for Victoria with some friends and a beverage of your choice, and skulling every time Baillieu mentions “on time and on budget”. Like I said, they’re the “we’ll build stuff, but we’ll build it a bit better than Bracks” party.
Clearly, we haven’t found our “This Land Is My Land” or had our “Macaca” moment yet.

Red Ted is a complete and utter joke.
This is what I want to see here.
In fact I want to see Kate’s suggestion of Howard doing “Beds are Burning”.
It’s by RX2008.
Jason does Landeryou, sort of.
Bad suit on, Darlene!
Hmmm, that’s sounds familiar, Jason Soon.
Rock on, game on, match on, blogger without a job on etc etc
The Greens have some of theirs up now, too.
Without sounding too critical, could I ask that embedded videos should generally come after the fold? Thankyou
