I heart the West Wing and it’s snappy dialogue.
I heart 3RRR’s 30 years in 30 Days series.
I heart Warnie, but only when he’s out in the middle.
I heart fantasy role models like CJ Cregg.
I also heart the genuine hawtness of Allison Janney.
I heart my lost youth
I heart Terry Pratchett’s Wintersmith . Allegedly a book for younger readers, the young at heart will love it as well especially those boggin for the hiddlins o husbandry.
I heart Terry Pratchett. I haven’t read Wintersmith yet…
I ♥ your choice of vehicle, angharad. I also ♥ html entities, except when they don’t work.
I heart Liam’s ability to show off his html coding skills.
(but you know I really heart you Zoe)
and I heart John Howard for making it possible for us entrepremeneurial types to buy Medibank Private off ourselves.
I heart Zoe’s blog.

I heart Mary-Louise Parker, who played the hottest character in The West Wing’s early seasons (Amy), and her great show Weeds, which I hear is getting a run on Channel Eddie very soon.
Started tonight, DM!
I heart Mary-Louise Parker too.
Bring back Amy at West Wing!
I heart Amy.
Quick question, which season of WW is showing in Oz at the moment? Is it up to season 6 yet? I just don’t want to give the game away by accident and ruin it for people by accident at some stage.
I heart Pays d’Auge calvados, Nina Simone’s piano solo in “My Baby Just Cares For Me”, the Supermarine Spitfire, Saki, Giorgio Moroder and Ennio Morricone (did you know Ennio and Sergio Leone met eachother in primary school?), the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, Tom Paine and the last three paragraphs of “The Great Gatsby”.
Also, Zoe for PM.
And speaking of the West Wing, in one ep, Leo McCarry said he flew in Vietnam an F-105 Fighterchief.
For fuck’s sake Aaron, the F-105 was the Thunderchief. Republic always prefixed their fighter and attack jet names with “Thunder”. Your credibility is now permanently shot with me Sorkin.
Beginning of season 5, mick.
I still heart all the chicks from West Wing though -even Ainsley.
Oh well, if we can have a whole list, then (to begin seasonally) I heart the Kings College Choir, ‘O Holy Night’, ‘The Shepherd’s Farewell’, eggnog, champagne, Laphroiag and Haigh’s Christmas Pudding chocolates.
I also heart Garry Trudeau and Doonesbury, meerkats, Alan Rickman, roast potatoes, Tex Perkins, Dorothy Dunnett’s King Hereafter, and the drive out of the Barossa Valley from Angaston to Cambrai.
Zoe would make an excellent PM. So would Kimberella, who has already had plenty of leadership experience as Queen of the Pirates.
If only life was as rational and erudite as The West Wing.
I heart Carrie-Anne Moss in Chocolat.
I just heart Carrie-Ann Moss generally.
Heh.
Well if the Labor party was as rational and erudite as the West Wing, we might get such a leadership team!
I heart the joint PM-ship of Zoe and Kimberella, who can alternate being La Prima on Mon.-Wed. and Thurs.-Sat., with Sundays off for experiencing the giddy feeling that every once in a while, *no one* is in charge! And I propose Dr. Cat as their groovy non-elected confidante and semi-secret spooky advisor, sort of like in “The President’s Analyst” or something. And I heart President Oprah.
I also heart Krazy Kat and ‘Ignatz’ “Mice,” and I especially heart Offisa Pup’s heart-felt soliloquies.
And I heart the Fastbacks’ “Zucker.”
And I propose that in honor of the vibe of this thread, the lyrics to “Love Hurts” be temporarily changed to “Love Hearts”…
I heart that proposal heartily.
I heart Nabs for being all anoraky about bizarre fascinations with high-tech military death machinies. Me too.
For your guilty pleasure watch this (full screen, sound up) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IwplA7_4lU
And I heart lynn white for having the foresight to see the fantastic investment opportunities in my proposed float of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
I heart youse all.
(and Anna one should update more, shouldn’t one, but as baby is due in 5 weeks and work doesn’t finish for another 3, don’t hold your breath)
I’m there Christine, I’m there. I remember the Bridge looked good with a heart on it, also
I heart Zoe’s courage in not stopping work until 2 weeks before bubs is due. I also think she is completely mad. But loveable.
MINDY, I CONDEMN THE EVIL INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS SYSTEM WHAT MEANS YOU HAVE 1 YEAR MATERNITY LEAVE SO RESIGN YOUR CUSHY HIGH PAYING JOB BECAUSE YOU CAN’T BEAR TO PUT YOUR TINY INFANT INTO LONG DAY CARE AND ARE THEN CONDEMNED TO WORKING WEIRD PIECEMEAL CONTRACTS.
Oops. Wrong thread.
I heart a well-paying and FUN media gig which just landed in my lap TOTALLY UNEXPECTEDLY, meaning that for the next four months I do not have to worry about paying the rent or eating or feeding the dog or any of that stuff. It should also give me enough time to pursue several other cool and exciting projects that are going on.
Please excuse me, I have to get back to dancing around the house going ‘woohoo’!
Well done Kate, good for you. (And, er, ‘heart’ something. To fit in with the strictures of this thread).
I heart Catherine Keener.
I don’t heart Ainslie. But Mary-Louise and Allison J: role models for those who’d despise the idea of having role models.
I heart that Lady Luck is smiling on Kate!
Is it cutting Nabakov’s grass if I heart Nina Simone’s intro to Gin House Blues (live) and heart Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone too?
I heart Kate’s good news!
I heart hearting hearty Kate’s new job news.
I heart fun paying gigs! Yay Kate!
A good friend of mine who happens to be also named Kate got some good news about a job as well. A good week for job seeking Kates.
Well done Kates!
I heart thinking about Kate dancing around her house yelling woohoo.
And at the moment I heart Bruce Springsteen cos I’m listening to “We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions“
I heart Kate’s luck and hope that she has much more.
I always heart Bruce Springsteen, no matter what he’s singing.
I particularly heart The River, Nebraska, The Ghost of Tom Joad and The Rising.
I ♥ good luck so go Kate!
And if elected, I promise not to die my hair red or wear a weird brown jacket.
I’m sure my Dear Leader Zoe joins me in promising a truly “new style” which all Orstrayans will ♥.
I’ve been [hearting] Heart
What, you mean like a sort of éminence écaille de tortue?
My kind of gig.
I ♥ a literary semi-secret spooky advisor…
You’re hired, Dr Cat!
Please find enclosed the keys to the consultancy budget chest of largesse.
I also ♥ comicstriphero for deconstructing all the crappy reality shows so I don’t have to watch them, but can still enjoy the bitchy gossipy goodness:

Yo ho ho. Much obliged.
(These doubloons and pieces of eight are all very well, but where is my bottle of rum?)
Aft!
I’m over here you goose!
I heart The Age for running a feature on godbeing Julia:

I heart the readers of the Surrey Comet, who produce some of the funniest letters to the editor I’ve seen in a long time.
I heart Robert for telling us about that – how on earth did you find it?
Best laugh I’ve had all week.
These pigeons could then be forced electronically to write blogs and perform basic programming tasks. How nice.
I &hearts blogging with almost all my blogcrushes!
I heart this thread, Zoe, and the Bottle Of Rum.
I heart Lynn for hearting me, and I heart MetaFilter for leading me to the pigeon letters — truly the best of the web.
And yet more from the Surrey Comet http://www.surreycomet.co.uk/display.var.1063116.0.a_bad_day_wont_ruin_big_days.php
Christine, the link to the goddess-being profile didn’t work. Sob.
Try it again, Kim. Worked for me just then. Maybe the site was down.
Thanks, Christine!
I ♥ The Age!
What’s with those bloody big blue gravatars though??? I condemn them.
I heart Jonathan from Survivor.
And Zoe.
