Steve, isn't there a Greens=balance-of-power option which isn't Debnam?

Looks like there aren't many swinging votes here on LP.

Have previously voted ALP, and was hoping to vote against them to give a kick up the arse to Iemma and the other clowns running the show. Of course the other choice ultimately is Dudnam so I am currently unsure. I was hoping the Libs would field a credible candidate.

I don't think I voted in the NSW election last time, I think I was living in another state (the baby is nearly 1 and my brain is still mush). I usually vote Labour, but this time I am considering the Greens, <strike>mainly to irritate my husband</strike> but I am fairly confident that the Nationals have it sewn up in Burrinjuck. There is a Country Labour candidate but she has almost no profile barring a couple of posters around town and she didn't even bother to turn up to the local Show last weekend, which is where I met the Greens candidate. So I will probably vote for the Greens candidate for the Lower House, and am still considering my options for the Upper. I have to say that Lee Rhiannon tends to leave me a bit cold. I don't think there will be any significant swings, but I could be wrong.

We moved electorates. The local member is an independent who is actually decent (i.e. not just a cast off from the National party, he's a cast off from the Labor party :-)

I think I'll end up casting a vote from him for the lower house. Upper house the labor party definitely needs a kicking of some sort.

Ditto for Jennifer, although I have more confidence in third party options. It is notable in this electorate (upper Hunter) that the ALP appears from pre-polling to be running dead. This could help the Green vote, though 'king coal' has taken a hit from the Greens and many may withhold second preferencing them. A National win in a field of three.

Well I'm usually a third party voter who then preferences Labor. But this time I'm thinking of not bothering with the preferencing. The trouble is that I know more about local politics than I used to, and I'm realising just how hopeless most of the third party candidates really are in my electorate. I can't imagine voting informal, but this is the first election that I've even contemplated the possibility.

If we didn't have compulsory voting, I imagine the turnout at this election would be dismal.
