tigtog, “Involuntary Schadenfreude” is a lesser rap. Watch Rattie being Lawsie’s bestest friend this week. After all, is the Prime Minister of Australia going to pitch his best election shots on some Celebrity Jailbird radio show?

  2. B.S. Fairman

He’ll probably get a suspended sentence. We all know how much the talk back kings love those suspended sentences.

Chin up Alan! Stiff upper lip! We pick and stick!

Stay brave and true Alan, brave and true.

(Sorry someone had to say it).

“Do the crime, do the time”.

    nuf said.

Maybe Alan’s bunkie will lend him his copy of Jonestown.

  7. Sir Henry Casingbroke

If Alan gets a custodial sentence, I think he will make the best of it.

  8. David Rubie

Does this mean we can refer to him as “Convicted criminal Alan Jones” forever?

    That’d be sweet!

  9. derrida derider

You people clearly don’t know how the “justice” system works in NSW. Pigs will fly before someone as influential as Jones does time for this.

  10. tigtog

I think you’re right, DD. He probably won’t even do weekend detention a la Rivkin.

I think Rubie can quite properly refer to him as â??Convicted criminal Alan Jonesâ?? forever though.

  11. Alasdair

Jones had told the court he assumed some form of consent had been given to name the boy, because he “saw the article in The Daily Telegraph, and considered the newspaper to be a responsible and reputable one

He should get ten years for lying under oath!

  12. Alex on the Bus

To paraphrase the title of an emo tune, you know what they do to guys like him in jail.

And if the bugger actually has to serve time, you’ll be hearing all the wingnuts comparing Jones to Nelson Mandela, on a scale not even P**l*n* H*ns*n could imagine!

    Thats very naughty sir.

Oh crap. I hope this doesn’t mean another round of Federal unveilings and denunciations

    This is excellent.

Will “Pistol” Pete Costello shoot more colleagues in the head by stating they are “politically and morally compromised” by assocating with convicted criminal Alan Jones?

I got warm, fuzzy shivers writing that sentence, truly I did.
