Sunday Spruiking – Make ‘em larf edition

This week I’m asking Larvy Prodders for links specifically to online stuff which has made you LOL, because xkcd has just tickled my funny bone again.

IN UR REALITY

Hey, at least I ran out of staples

Some of you are laughing now. Hard. If you hadn’t already seen it. For those of you scratching your head right now, your internet lives under a rock and smells of elderberries. I hiss in ur general direction, LOLsing at Teh N00bs.

Hie thee to I Can Has Cheezburger? for all your cat macro needs (a macro is an image with added text, and cat macros have been everywhere this year). You’ll need a bit of familiarity with the tropes and injokes in order to fully appreciate (zomg11) the first ever long-form macro in the LOLcats style.

Prepare yourself for LOLTrek. With LOLtribbles.

Thanks for trying, AV, but Wordpress only allows the LP Cabal to post images in comments. Here we go:

    Did you see the I-rack?

  4. 4 tigtogNo Gravatar

    Phil, I hadn’t seen that. That’s fab.

Less fab is the troglodytic comments thread at YouTube. That’s really gone to the dogs.

I’m in your poolz, fighting with pillowz.

How about the National Bikini Pillow Fighting Championships in Palm Springs? This made me laugh……..and not in a good way.

The MSM is all about serious journamalism I tell ya, not like those silly bloggers who post about their cats.

This pic made me laugh this morning, though it’s a bit late in the season.

OK, I’m not normally a sucker for cute animal stories, but this hang-gliding dog was pretty cool.

There was video on the Channel 9 late news a couple of nights ago, but unfortunately I can’t find any footage online.

Laugh or cry, I’m not sure which.

If I can offer the entire Uncyclopedia, featuring two cows.

    Also, Arnold Schwarzeneggar.
    Also, an odd comic.
    And, WeightWatchers cards, circa 1974.
By the way, rare cloud formations aren’t funny, but they are beautiful.

Or this – from Saturday’s Herald – but not for the weak of stomach

Thanks for the link to Uncyclopedia. The piece on cow arson http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Cow_arson is pretty good too.

Oh, what a mighty cheery lot of links! Thanks, all. Some of them I am saving up for one of those lipwobbling days.

Amazing Kim, your last link on rare cloud formations didn’t make it. Try again?

With my head in the clouds and wishing it were still Sunday, I most likely will only be reminding people of the wonder, that is “Mr Fish”.

Warning this link may contain flying pink pussy banks.

If this is too usenet nerdy for you, then you may enjoy this classic Samuel Beckett meets the Three Stooges nature moment instead. Best watched with Trenet’s “Le Mer” playing in the background.

I suspect I’m gonna get reincarnated as a deep water crustaecean boulevardier hanging around hydrocarbon extraction operations after laughing at that clip so much.

Also did you know Kim Jong-il is the world’s leading collector of Daffy Duck cartoons and memoribila. Now that’s a mash up just waiting to happen.

And here’s a little palate cleanser.

  29. 29 NabakovNo Gravatar

Well that’s great hair for a war zone LLILTF and I loved the sexy vibratro. But it wasn’t funny.

Now this is slow burning funny. Imagine Birdy with the style and good manners of a Southern gentleman.

From The Simon magazine: Wolfowitz Riza correspondence revealed!

In even better news, the ethics committee says I handled my domestic partnership conflict of interest issue perfectly fine (although they wouldn’t put it in writing, typical Ethics). The only thing that would mess this up is if the war I helped design prolongs in tragic embarrassment and the global community supporting the World Bank turns on me. They may leverage this compromise into salacious news to discredit me personally rather than speak up against an administration likely to eviscerate valuable trade agreements. That might work against us. I don’t care. I live in the Now. And the Now wants a monk’s robe. Please?

    Your Soldier for Destiny’s Child,

    Pauly

The above link doesn’t seem to work in preview, so if it doesn’t work for you, try cutting and pasting http://www.thesimon.com/magazine/articles/the_weekly_memo/01379_wolfowitz__riza_correspondence_revealed.html

Sometimes in order to get a link to show in the preview, it is necessary to just press on your keyboard to insert a space immediately after the end-bracket of the link code. I don’t know why this should be but it is so.
