Loved the language of the steward’s report from Umpire Birdie’s last race. Stewards reported:

He laid in soon after straightening

Think that Zac Purton should have laid him out.

It’s a pretty ordinary looking bunch of horseflesh that will probably end up as dogfood if they don’t show a bit of improvement.

Sorry to burst a bubble - but, as Jason Soon and others have pointed out ad nauseum - the Bird is not a libertarian.
