I appreciate that you don’t think concern about torturing children by jailing them for years in places like Baxter is a matter of concern, but hundreds of of thousands of Australians do, and I think its important that those concerns are represented. Given that I share those concerns about protecting children, preventing detention without charge or trial, defending the underdog, standing up to bullies and thugs, etc, it’s only reasonable that I publicly support them (although I should note I never joined in any of the protests at the gates of Baxter because I thought they were counter-productive). The fact that you believe these people are somehow not Australians indicates very little except that how deeply antagonistic to democracy you are.
