This promise of no execution comes from the country that executes more people than the rest of the world combined! I just wish that the Australian media and the Australian Labor Party would make a bigger deal over this issue instead of worrying about who will lead the coalition in the future. A mans life is at stake...doesn't that mean anything anymore? I was going to post on this on my blog, but got distracted. I am disgusted at the government always asking for "assurances" - and when they get broken they say "not our fault". Decisions like this will haunt the minister, and i for one will remind him of it if I ever see him. I did see Kevin Andrews on George St during the Liberal Party conference and just looked at him and just said "shame"... he tried to ignore me, but his eyes said more. Thanks for posting on this.
