I suppose the stacking and manipulation of NSW Liberal branches by Opus Dei figures (“sectarian patriarchs”?) full of Maronites seeking to impose a narrow moral agenda on the “populus” isn’t happening in the Strocchiverse?

Note how the weasel word “appears” sucks all of the little meaning out of the infinitive of the verb “to be”. Implicitly, Mr Strocchi admits that he missed the point of the post (had he actually understood the post he could have very confidently declared “this is the point”. Lacking that certainty, he invents a point of his own that he can dismiss with his usual pomposity, and ponderous and flatulent attempts at wit.

Well Jack, here’s one of the several points you’ve missed – the claim that Australia is a “beacon of democracy” etc is pure hyperbole. Ask yourself this question – beacon of democracy for whom?

As for the collage – it merely highlights a few cases where all that “tolerance” the Liberal Party boasts about was put into practice the Aussie way.
