Jack, the institutionalisation of "crime mafias, sectarian patriarchs and ethnic [and racial] ghettos" was set in train in 1788 with the landing of the First Fleet. Are you totally ignorant of the well-documented history of this proud nation?

The politics of the culture war turned equally toxic in response. In the ALP branches got stacked and manipulated by by ethnic businessmen seeking political favours.

Are you completely non compus mentis? All political parties operate this way. It is the modus operandi normalus.

In 1998 the Fitzgerald report on immigration was partially censored because the poll results (rampant hostility to immigration) were so virulent. Hanson’s nativist party was the culmination of this reaction.

The support received by Hanson and co was roughly consistent proportionately with the anti-immigration sentiment that's existed in Australia throughout the 20th century.

There have been a few eggs broken in making this omelette. Some people (legitimate assylum seekers) have been buggerised around and even bastardised.

People to whom this has happened, or who are otherwise made to feel unwelcome and reviled tend to strike back in some of the ways you have mentioned. No amount of law and order campaigns and forcible integration are going to ever stop that happening, and increasing, in the absence of sensible, humane, inclusive, democratic social policies and good governance.

So you better hang on to your hat, Jack, cos you ain't seen nothing yet.

But do you actually have any evidence?

It's the vibe, baby. The vibe that makes Jack shake. See Jack shake. What makes Jack shake?

What makes Jack shake is the urge to restore order. Jack wants you to take his order. Extra fries but not too spicy.

Jack knows how the game is played. Can Jack play the game?

Jack hears the word on the street. The word on the street is that Jack is making omelettes without bothering with eggs anymore.

Sectarianism and unruly minorities has been curbed by a law and order campaign.

1. How do we know sectarianism is in decline?
2. How the hell was this caused by "a law and order campaign"?

I suppose it's remotely plausible. But do you actually have any evidence?

Well, you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs as <strike>Lenin</strike> Strocchi says.

There have been a few eggs broken in making this omelette. Some people (legitimate assylum seekers) have been buggerised around and even bastardised.

In the ALP branches got stacked and manipulated by by ethnic businessmen seeking political favours.

I suppose the stacking and manipulation of NSW Liberal branches by Opus Dei figures ("sectarian patriarchs"?) full of Maronites seeking to impose a narrow moral agenda on the "populus" isn't happening in the Strocchiverse?

If only Rudd were less conservative. It'd be worth it just so Jack wouldn't have a peg to hang his endless "theory" on. And for other reasons too..

This appears to be the point of Gummos post, a typical example of his aptitude for bluster and heavy-handed humour. (my emphasis)

Note how the weasel word "appears" sucks all of the little meaning out of the infinitive of the verb "to be". Implicitly, Mr Strocchi admits that he missed the point of the post (had he actually understood the post he could have very confidently declared "this is the point". Lacking that certainty, he invents a point of his own that he can dismiss with his usual pomposity, and ponderous and flatulent attempts at wit.

Well Jack, here's one of the several points you've missed - the claim that Australia is a "beacon of democracy" etc is pure hyperbole. Ask yourself this question - beacon of democracy for whom?

As for the collage - it merely highlights a few cases where all that "tolerance" the Liberal Party boasts about was put into practice the Aussie way. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room on the flag for everybody who's been shown this unique form of Aussie tolerance - assuming of course that there are images available - so I made do with a few of the more memorable and identifiable ones.
