We initially created Fantasy Congress because it would be a way to have ownership over your Congress. Our premise has always been that people should care about politics as much as sports, so instead of being a coach, you’re a political operative. We always thought that being able to check up on a Member of Congress like checking up on a baseball player should be simple and fun.

Anyway, our site is being used in high schools and colleges across the country and for those interested in testing who is better at being a political operative, our site helps do that too.

Back in those rather closeted days, all i can say is thank god for the Swirling Eddies and Steve Taylor (risque because they played the devils music).

Look mate, we liked your Baptists - they’re good people and they certainly know their Holy Bible inside out. And we really liked your Seventh Day Adventists as well - they had great Bible stories for kids’ and they make vegetarianism seem like great fun. We liked your Billy Graham too - so earnest and so devout.

But …. would you be so kind as to keep those religious guys of yours who want to meddle in our secular politics right back there where that Rapture Bell is going to ring any minute now [front-row seats only $899] or send them off to where they can do some real good - like standing in for U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan; their true talents are underutilized here in grubby Australian politics.

Nobbi is already on two strikes. So with this incident BB has three choices. 1. Eject Nobbi and Rory from the house. 2. Give Nobbi and Rory a strike (Nobbi already has two), which would see Nobbi ejected from the house. 3. Suppress all mentions of the incident.

Options 1 and 2 would ruin tonight’s eviction show, so of course, BB will take option 3. We won’t see any episodes of the sexual harrassment on tonight’s eviction show, and maybe not even on Big Mouth. Already, BB is furiously deleting any reference to the incident on its forums.

You actually don’t see it happen, but you see Terri’s reaction. You also don’t see the leadup, in which Rory and Nobbi talk about doing it, and the involvement of Bianca, who calls Terri over to the spa. Rory had also exposed himself to Terri earlier in the evening, and so the spa incident is just one in a continuing case of sexual harrassment.

Can’t wait for tonight’s eviction show.

Hopefully I’m just hallucinating. This is something a 14-year-old would do, and paste it on the drum kit for his band. In fact, the Ramones had one just like it. But their motto was funnier than Obama’s stilted Latin: they just went with, “Look out below.”

I wonder what the spiffy new uniforms will look like, that he’s going to make us all wear. (Now that he’s on to the Ramones, Devo and P-Funk can’t be far behind.) But I’ll probably just get stuck wearing one of those huge dunce caps left over from the GPCR.

I even found a blog by a christian which asked the pertinent question - “would Jesus click on that link?”

I was going through a back catalog of entries for a online magazine that I read and found this article about it. To boil it down, it’s sort of like Fantasy Football but based on the actions of elected officials.

I’m not sure what to make of it, it does oversimplify a very complex and serious issue around rating the performance of those who run our country, but on the other hand it couldn’t be trivialising the political process more then those who were willing to take bets on who would win particular seats in an election.

Thoughts anyone?
