Never mind that he wasn’t even born, add her to the many victims on the Obama Death List, which miraculously includes the name of a man who was also apparently part of the Clinton Body Count 10 years earlier. (That comments thread on the first link is a mess due to heaps of comments being despaminated after multiple repostings, but there are some amusing nuggets.)
Some of the entries appear to be quite obviously originally intended as ludicrous jokes, but it comes as no surprise that it’s being passed around uncritically by some anti-Obama partisans (although to their credit, most of the big Republican-leaning sites have quickly had it shot down as a hoax and Free Republic even took it down entirely).

Of course, snopes.com, who soundly debunked the Clinton Body Count, has not confirmed the Obama Death List – it is not mentioned in the snopes.com Barack Obama section at all (although I imagine it soon will be). So far there’s an ebulliently incredulous discussion in the snopes forum.

And to think people actually write books like this. I’ve often wondered if most of the Conspiracy First! authors deliberately take the gullible for a ride (and their hard earned), and don’t actually believe a word of the piffle that comes from their pen?
It also makes me wonder whether, if that were the case, is it more disturbing than the alternative?
You have to wonder that about people like Ann Coulter, who seems to struggle to contain her smug over the way that the more outrageous her claims the faster her books fly off the shelves (especially combined with all the wingnut welfare “sign up to this and get 5 free copies of Ann Coulter’s latest” promotions).

That might be relevant if I was actually citing them. I merely pointed out that the claim in the circular (that Snopes confirmed the factuality of the Obama Death List) is definitely not true.
This is a good point to add a disclaimer: I have a personal history of online interaction with Barbara Mikkelson, who is one half of the Snopes team, although it’s many years since we last shared a forum. Our history is cordial, but not so close that I would hesitate to acknowledge an error on their part. The Snopeses do at least tend to be rigorous with regard to citing their sources, which is a trait that I appreciate.
