We went to see Up the Yangtze. Very worthwhile. The filmmaker takes a 'slice of life' approach and lets you draw your own conclusions if you want to about the environmental and social disruption of giant Three Gorges Dam project as well as the need for the children of poor families to seek not too exciting work away from home.
