It’s September so it must be time again to condemn. Here’s a twenty fifth open condemnation thread. What’s getting up your goat this month so far? Which evil political, cultural, social, musical, religious and other phenomena need condemnation? (Or loud denunciation?)
You can condemn anything you like except Angela Desveaux and alt.country singers from Canada. Although you can blame Canada for blameworthy stuff.

While Mr T (Greenfield?) is being picky, I condemn “…getting up your goat…”.
I condemn my goat for stealing the things that should properly have got up my nose.
Mr T. isn’t Greenfield and neither am I. And I don’t have an obsession with Kim’s posts.

I no longer want to see the word ‘catchment’ used in relation to water. Other uses have corrupted, such as in the business sense of a customer ‘catchment’. In future when we are talking water, rivers, creeks etc we will use the term ‘watershed’. it is a more attractive word and quite specific to what it is trying to describe, so making it easier to remember. The next time you read about the dire circumstances of the Murray Darling think watershed and it will bring the issue home to you much more than the nondescript (and now defunct) ‘catchment’.
At last you wake up and realize that Canada is a big problem. Those Canadians have got to be stopped their strolling reasonably and not bothering anyone. Who do they think they are?

I condemn Titan Books for only so far rereleasing the early sixties Jeff Hawke comic strips in compilation form. What was the early seventies Jeff Hawke? Chopped Chalcedon liver? Hawke always made Men In Black (both the original comic and movies) look derivative, unimaginative and blatantly predictable by comparison but early seventies Jeff Hawke was truly wonderfully demented even by its own standards.
