A week after Western Australians went to the vote, and the counting and manoeuvring continues. The Poll Bludger has all the details on the latest results and a poll on which way the Nationals should jump.
I’ve got a feeling the Nationals might go with Labor. It’s hard to explain why Brendon Grylls should give Alan Carpenter a big assist to stay in the leadership otherwise. But the contrary hypothesis would be it’s part of a game plan to keep us all guessing.

Really? Carps is not going to take part in future proceedings whatever happens.
Have you changed something? After a year my avatar suddenly starts working.
More the latter than the former. His own members expect Grylls to support the Libs, not the dreaded socialists.
A week and still no election result. Zimbabwe? Welcome to orstraya.
Nationals gone with Libs. Barnett new leader. Oh dear Carpenter you really stuffed that up you goose.
Pablo: How about Belgium, where they still don’t know who their government is a year or two after the last elections.
Incidentally I see Cook won Kwinana in the end against Adams. Local sources inform me the campaign got very nasty towards the end – I actually think Adams would have been the more worthy victor in the end. But oh well.
