Back again. been in hospital, again since I last posted with chest infectiuon. Okay now and back to normal. Hopefully I won't see the inside of the place till next winter. While there, being an organised little sod, even in extremity, read and took notes from John Drinkwater's A History of the Siege of Gibraltar, 1779-1783 ( for a couple of chs. of my book). + read thre 2 vol. Diary of Frederick Mackenzie about life in British Army in Boston, New York, long Island, Thode Island, New York, 1775-1781, Fascinating. + some notes for a review I'm writing. Best party for ages, and my new (old) PA system works a treat. Sunday - the preceding abuse of various substances rendered the day not so much lazy as non-existent.
