At the risk of being boring, why not the Austral or Exeter on Rundle Street?

Sorry, Jovial Monk, that’s about as far away from me as it’s possible to get without having to stop for petrol. But I couldn’t come anyway, as I am still waiting for friends to make up their minds about whether something I may or may not be invited to is actually going to take place that weekend, and if so, on what day.

I’ll hold up my hand as the non-drinker around here.

But I’ve been known to smell a good party 3 states away. One of these days I’ll turn up at something. Ever since I missed (by about 10 minutes) LP drinks in Surrey Hills a year or two ago, I’ve vowed to front up one day.
