I’d like to note that Keith Windschuttle has linked to the publication of Negri’s response to him here at LP at his website with a link next to his op/ed piece. This is commendable, allowing Windschuttle’s readers to decide for themselves. If only The Australian had the same policy.



I’d have thought this story was tailor made for Mediawatch. But no – what did we get? More nitpicking, some stuff about how weatherppl are promoting venues (hello? they’re not reporters and commercial tv is capitalist) and the usual “that story about the miracle cure for x was snakeoil). I’m joining the “Liz Jackson is crap” crowd, I fear…
Yeah, I saw it too. On the “weather people promoting holiday destinations” thing, you’d think that an analysis of why the media buy into these sort of things would be more worthwhile than just what appears to be a cheap shot when the underlying causes are ignored. The retort that the weather people are not investigative reporters seems convincing in this context.
And who cares about Sheehan? He’s a crackpot, surely?
