I thought Hardt pretty convincingly refuted the allegations. Since Devine and Windschuttle were asked to appear but did not accept the invitation, I wonder whether they are still maintaining their position and if not, whether we’ll hear anything.

I think the interviewer dude was a bit rude at the end tho. Just because Hardt was getting frustrated with being asked questions like, “So what are his politics now?”

I thought it was a reasonable question particularly given what’s been written about Negri’s politics (ie “Marxist-Leninist”, “terrorist” etc) and I was surprised Hardt couldn’t answer it.

I don’t suppose anyone has referred to Richard Drake’s work on the Italian ultra left. There are flawed but do capture the atmosphere of a milieu where people believed in a communist revolution the way many Americans believe in the Rapture.
