Bali mon amour

John Quiggin says it. Something of Bali’s usually ignored history is here.

Well damn Ill say it,its John Howards fault.Long live Islam and its wonderfully enlightened peacfull ways.More Islamic migrants,300,000 of them is not enough for Sydney, lets get more and more.Lets get out of Iraq and give it to Osama, lets get out of Afganistan and give it to the Taliban, lets follow the left and vote for Mark.Ah the warm inner glow.

Well that comment from Larado rather rules out the future use of the “Left makes political capital out of tragedies” line by RWDBs.

I’d stick to fantasing about Jean Harlow and your plots against horses, mate.

Sticks and stones,Kim.Your petticoat is showing. Its not a tragedy, its a deliberate act of malevolence,an ill wind for all.Men planned it, carried it out,and their happy, they have killed the innocents.

    If Kim’s petticoat
is showing, I’d like to watch
    Or else, remove it.

(Just trying to add some goodwill to the comments thread, which appears to have reached critical mass for an unseemly and not very edifying stoush after only one comment.)

(Is that possible? Can one comment constitute a stoush?)

If its the truth,it can.And it hurts.

Re the Evatt link, ‘amok’ is a Malay word, No?

Its relevant that the feeling is Bali should not be discussed and Latham is, ad nauseum.

Lefties will internalise on Latham till Xmas, at least, which is extraordinarily indulgent for an event of less than no importance, esp to the rest of the world.

I don’t know where Mark is, but were he here I feel sure he would urge civil discourse. Point-scoring will begin soon enough.

  9. Lefty Elitist

I dont know about point scoring being inevitable. There’s no point to it, certainly. We all oppose these sick atrocities. To my mind the debates here have always been about the most effective means to prevent /undermine / defeat terrorism. On that, there’s a wide degree of disagreement.

But no doubt, another day for that too.

Thanks for letting my comment stand,I wont be posting here for a while and I will leave, but it has been nice knowing you,Ive enjoyed it.Nice site and I wish you well.

I’m not sure that posting “How to get a bigger bang” directly above “Bali mon amour” was a good idea.

In this pomo hypertrigger world, the way to score points is to point out who’s scoring points off who they think are scoring points off others’ misery.

And Larado, if you actually have a point, then get to it. Otherwise, more than one here will be reminded here of how your net de plume can rhyme with “dero”

What Larado doesn’t know is that I have Jean Harlow and wild horses embroidered on my petticoat.

Actually, I don’t own one. I own a leather corset.

Aside from all that, I endorse Lefty E’s sentiments and arguments.
