Oh dear! Johny and his good friend George are so looking forward to their photo-op with all the other APEC leaders, but what will they wear?
More to the point, what do you think they should wear? This year, it’s up to John Howard to pick an appropriate Aussie national costume for the APEC dress-ups. So crank up your favourite graphics editor and show us what you think John and his mate George should be wearing for the first APEC photo session.
Don’t have photoshop? Try the GIMP.

The APEC summit being held in Sydney, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert would naturally have to be the inspiration for any APEC dress-up. It worked at the Closing Ceremony at the Olympic Games.
It’ll be tax-eating Akubras and Drizabones with RM Williams moleskins and boots with spurs, you watch.
That or the Australian One-Day Cricket Team’s yellow jarmies with all their names on the back.
Deputy Sheriff badges for everyone (except the Sheriff).
Mankinis
Stubbies, thongs, Woodstock Bourbon singlet and a very foul mouth.
(Well, isn’t it how the stereotypical Aussies looks like when visiting most APEC countries?
)
I’d prefer Greg’s Priscilla option to the green and gold jim-jams.
Don’t go there with a photo-shop of what Gloria Macapagal Arroyo might be expected to wear, Gummo.
It will be Steve Irwin safari suits for everyone, in memory of the Great Man. Oh wait … Howard in short tight shorts …. maybe not.
Wallaby tracksuits all round then.
i’d like to see them all in those lime green togs that borat wore in his movie.
Goth gear all round, of course.
Kevin07 t-shirts all round.
Ken Done designed shirts featuring a fetching Don Bradman motif.
Bandanas over their faces as masks, dark clothing and carry rocks in their hands perhaps?
Apparently it’s the officially approved ‘look’.

Ha!
Table tennis, anyone?
No photoshopping necessary, surely?
We have opted to break from the parochial mold, while maintaining a westernly decadent edge. Note the fearless adoption of an appropriately talking heads theme.

This is Serious APEC.
Looks like the Fairfax newspapers have pinched your idea, Gummo.
