One response to “Australia@Work author talks back”

  1. Jim McDonald

Professor Mark Wooden challenged the report’s methodology and the timing, criticising ithe researchers for not asking the workers if AWAs had reduced their take-home pay, and claimed the research was distorted by researchers moving onto the next respondent if they did not answer their call! Never mind that the survey had a huge sample of 8343 workers.

Wooden has a long history of research conducted for the Business Council of Australia. “The Australian” fails to mention this. Given reporters and commentators on “The Australian” consider the background of researchers to be so important, it is a telling omission. At least Wooden did not attack Buchanan’s and his team’s honesty.
