As some may have already noticed, we’ve been joined on an ongoing basis by our two resident NZ election bloggers – Deborah of In a strange land and Idiot/Savant of No Right Turn. [Among other things, we're hoping to promote more cross-Tasman conversation, but there's no topic restriction.] As you will notice in the future, after the sad demise of The Road to Surfdom, Helen of Cast Iron Balcony fame will also be cross-posting from time to time here.
We’re very excited to have these fine folks on board, and hope everyone will welcome them heartily to LP!

Kim, Mark and other LPers, I am very chuffed. Thank you.
Many thanks from me too. It’s great fun to be joining this group.
So what has happened to Darlene?
Has this contributor been boned?
And if the view from the balconey gets a jersey why not bring in Antony Loewenstein covering international politics?
C’mon you know he plays the right sort of tune.
The more the merrier.
This might be an opportune time to mention that while some long-standing LP’ers have been quiet for a variety of reasons (work, family, and the occasional bouts of meh), they are still welcome to post if and when they feel like it.
Despite the ads, for most of us posting on LP is an entirely voluntary activity that has to fit in with the rest of our lives.
@3 – Darlene’s scaled back on blogging for personal reasons – but she certainly is still a valued and welcome contributor here when she wants to blog more regularly!
And a big welcome to the new bloggers from me too!
