    I recall that thread but had forgotten about Stan Rogers. I have been on an Air Crash Investigations marathon, recorded off the Nat Geo channel, and a recent episode was the crash that he died in. I’d been meaning to follow him up — forgetting you had already posted about him. Ta.

    Sounds like Gordon Lightfoot, but a bit more cheerful.

    That is a very touching love song. Maybe the right one to drop on the stereo on that wedding anniversary night, lads. And yep, there is a touch of the Lightfoot but a lot deeper of voice, I would say.
