Dr Peter Chen from Sydney Uni is surveying readers of selected Australian blogs for a forthcoming publication. When his survey is analysed, LP will also receive selected insights from the findings. Additional information about Dr Chen’s project can be accessed here. We’d encourage you to participate!
This is a voluntary survey being undertaken by Dr Peter John Chen of the Department of Government at the University of Sydney.
The survey is open to readers of Larvatus Prodeo and other blogs who live in Australia. The survey will be used in a forthcoming (2012) book on the internet and Australia.
The survey will take only 10 minutes of your time, and all responses are anonymous and confidential.
The survey can be found here.
Update: Some people are finding that the link to the survey resolves to the Sydney Uni home page. We’ve contacted the researcher to seek urgent clarification, so please bear with us if it doesn’t take you to the survey.
Update: We’re advised that the link should only redirect to the USyd home page if you’ve already completed the survey. If you are still having problems, please email the researcher at peter.chen AT sydney.edu.au for a direct invitation.

Survey link not working, it directs you to University of Sydney home page
Ah! I’d say that’s a bug in the survey. The direct link is here:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Australian_blog_readers
That takes me to the Sydney Uni homepage too! Obviously there’s a problem. We’ll contact the researcher.
Update: We’re advised that the link should only redirect to the USyd home page if you’ve already completed the survey. If you are still having problems, please email the researcher at peter.chen AT sydney.edu.au for a direct invitation.
It worked for me earlier today [insert smug emoticon]. It also just worked for me at home (different IP address).
Seriously, it’ll be very interesting if he gets a big enough sample.
Yep, I think so too!
Thanks for the link Kim, hope the results get some coverage here.
Sure, fmark, that’s a top idea!

Fun survey, and I loved the question at no. 11. Be interested to know people’s reasoning for that one…
Though maybe we shouldn’t discuss it until the survey results are out so as not to compromise other people’s answers.
I can’t remember what Q 11 was, TimT.

Will we hear from them again I wonder
Teh stupid.
Final question asks whether you want the survey results emailed to you. Do they ask for an email address? No.
Di(nr): if it’s the question I’m thinking of: let’s just say it was about very autoerotic people you sometimes have the misfortune to meet in real life. I hope I’m not giving too much away.
“Australian Democrats”
“IPA”
@15 – It asked me for an email address!
@11 Duh…not the pedestrian’s.
